RCA Records has announced a February 6 release date for the singers’ new single, “It All Belongs to Me.” Written and produced by Rico Love, the poignant song reunites the women for the first time since they topped the charts in 1998 with “The Boy Is Mine.”

Via BET.com: In honor of the 5th season of BET’s, The Game cast members and BET’s chairman rang the NASDAQ Stock Market opening bell on Wednesday morning.

The members including Hosea Chanchez, Pooch Hall, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Brandy Norwood and Coby Bell joined Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BET Networks Debra Lee on stage to mark the beginning of the day’s stock exchange at 9:15a.m.

“This is a truly exciting time for BET Networks,” said Lee. “We’re all about giving our audience what they want and we know that fans everywhere love to watch the lives of Derwin, Melanie, Malik, Jason and Tasha Mack unfold every week.”

On December 1, Viacom, the parent company of BET, left the New York Stock Exchange and began listing its class A and class B common stocks on the NASDAQ Global Market.

Last year The Game drew 7.7 million viewers during its season premiere on the network. Season 5 of the network’s hit series premiered Tuesday night.

Via Variety.com: Brandy Norwood, who goes by her first name as a Grammy Award-winning recording artist, has joined the cast of Tyler Perry’s Lionsgate pic “The Marriage Counselor” along with Robbie Jones, Ella Joyce and Jerry Stiller.

Jurnee Smollett stars as the title character, while Lance Gross, Kim Kardashian and Vanessa Williams co-star. As Variety first reported Oct. 20, Smollett plays a newlywed marriage counselor who gives great relationship advice but finds it difficult to address issues in her own. Gross will play her husband, while Jones will play a smooth-talking client with whom she has an affair.

Williams will play the owner of the firm where the marriage counselor practices, while Kardashian will play her sassy co-worker. Norwood will play Gross’ co-worker.

Ozzie Areu, prexy of Tyler Perry Studios, is producing the film with Paul C. Hall. Lionsgate exec Mike Paseornek will oversee the project for the studio. Pic is currently in production in Atlanta at Tyler Perry Studios.

“The Marriage Counselor,” based on Perry’s stage play, is the helmer’s 13th Lionsgate production in the last seven years.

“I have a great relationship with Lionsgate and am proud to be making my thirteenth film with them,” said Perry. “I always appreciate the artistic freedom they afford me, but will particularly appreciate it on this project, which explores family life even more up close and personally than I ever have before and speaks about so many universal issues and challenges that are dear to my own heart.”

“This film is another wonderful outgrowth of our longstanding relationship with Tyler,” said Joe Drake, Lionsgate’s co-COO and Motion Picture Group prexy. “With ‘Good Deeds’ and now ‘The Marriage Counselor,’ he is exploring issues that affect so many people, like balancing career & family, freedom & responsibility, and passion & duty – all while maintaining his signature style and his singular voice.”

Norwood is repped by APA, while Gersh reps Jones. Stiller is repped by The Kohner Agency.

Via Rap-Up.com: Now that the ink has dried on her new deal with RCA/Chameleon Records, Brandy is moving full steam ahead with her next album. The singer is returning to her “classic R&B” roots with some help from hitmaker Rico Love.

“I’m excited about the records I’ve done with her so far. I think we need to make it classic, just the music that people love,” the Division1 CEO told Rap-Up.com. “There’s no real formula to it. I just believe in a strong melody and a strong concept. You add a great singer, especially a singer that has had the success that Brandy’s had, and a hit song is a no-brainer.”
